We’re a day late but we think it’s worth the wait. Thanks Christine!
Munchy Monday post by Christine Strain
I still remember the first time I heard about “Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day“. It was on a message board I frequent, on a thread about food, and people were talking about baking their own bread. Most of them had bread machines. They were discussing recipes, whether or not they used the machine just for mixing, or for mixing and baking. I had no bread machine and no experience at all working with yeast.
Then it happened. Someone said they were making bread using this method that used no machine and only took 5 minutes a day. 5 minutes? Surely there had to be some catch. There was a book, but I am impatient. I wanted to try this method NOW. I started searching and found this blog entry describing the method and the basic recipe. I ran out and bought some yeast, and the rest was history!
You don’t need a bread machine. You don’t need any fancy ingredients. You do need yeast, but there is no kneading. You don’t even need a loaf pan. Here’s the link again:
(I have used this link so often that I actually only have to type “ang” into my browser address window and it auto-fills the rest for me.)
She does a great job of describing the method so click, read, and bake bread, my friends!
